Computer/Tech Professional

Two levels of Computer/Tech help are greatly needed!

Tech Trainer – an individual (could be self-taught) who is comfortable learning new programs and/or has an understanding of a wide variety of apps and software programs (Dropbox, Microsoft Office 365, Zoom, etc.). Current staff members need help organizing files with online storage, learning new apps that can help with patient care/donor relations, understanding how to use our current phone system (GoToConnect) well so we can optimize all its features. This individual would also help staff explore new apps/programs.

Computer software/hardware Engineer - Our computer “system” is very old. We need to upgrade. We will be seeking grants this year for computer hardware, but we need someone to install and connect our computers so they all work well together!

Skills: Corresponds to the description for each “level” above.

Time Commitment: Tech Trainer – Flexible, depending upon the app/program being taught. Computer Engineer – This is a “project” dependent upon the length of time necessary to upgrade the system. Starting the project will be dependent upon ObriaLA securing funding for hardware.

Work Location: Both Whittier and Pasadena clinics need computer upgrades, but Whittier has a more extensive system and the need there is more urgent since this is our corporate office.
